Reading Day by English Department

Reading Day Celebration (20/06/2022)

The Department of English along with the Debate and Quiz Club conducted various competitions to celebrate Reading Day this year. The programme was inaugurated by the Principal Dr. Bindu R and presided over by Ms. Uma Govind (HOD, Department of English). All the teachers of the Department spoke a few words on the importance of reading in daily life of students.

The students debated on the topic �Has Reading Become a Dying Habit Today?�. There were also a Literary Quiz, Reading competition, and a one- minute speech on the students� first reading experience. Students were also asked to write a letter to their favourite character in literature.
