ANTI PLASTIC RALLY

The 27(K) BN NCC unit Palakkad company No 4 of our college has taken up an Anti-Plastic rally in Alathur town. The rally was inaugurated by NSS Unit AO Lt. Asso Prof. Dr. V Willsanand, Senior Police officials, faculty.  The rally was not only about holding placards with messages about ill-effects of plastic bags but also tried to educate the public about the adverse effects of plastic bags on the environment. They further encouraged the people to practice the three golden principles of ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ and to move to biodegradable alternatives. In an attempt to emphasize the purpose of the campaign and to motivate them, the cadets also exchanged paper bags for plastic bags, which were being used by the people.
