The Department of Microbiology, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, affiliated with the University of Calicut, is set to organize an Extension Activity on Soil Quality Analysis from September 15 to 19, 2025.
The programme aims to assess the soil quality of agricultural fields in Kavassery Panchayat, focusing on identifying soil health indicators crucial for sustainable farming. By analyzing soil fertility, microbial diversity, and nutrient content, the initiative seeks to empower local farmers with scientific insights that can improve agricultural productivity and ecological balance.
The event will be conducted at the Microbiology Laboratory of the college. Faculty members, research scholars, and students will actively participate, working in collaboration with local farming communities.
