Sree Narayana College, Alathur, affiliated to the University of Calicut, is organizing a seminar on the pressing issue of the skill–degree mismatch faced by students in the job market. The seminar, titled “Why Students Struggle to Get Jobs: Skills vs Degree Gap”, will be held on 23rd September 2025 at 2:00 PM at Gurukripa Hall.
The keynote address will be delivered by Muhammad Shareef, Director of Shahbiz Global Pvt. Ltd. The program is being conducted in association with Amrita University and facilitated by Apply4Skills.
The event is organized under the guidance of Principal Smt. Praveena Vijayan, with Dr. Dhiva S (IQAC Coordinator) and Dr. Shabna Babu (Coordinator, Career Guidance and Placement Cell) forming the core organizing committee.
The seminar aims to provide valuable insights to students on bridging the gap between academic qualifications and practical skills required in the professional world.
With increasing concern over employability, this program is expected to be highly beneficial for students preparing to step into competitive job markets.
