Children’s Day Celebrated with Joy by NSS Units 37 & 117 of Sree Narayana College, Alathur

Alathur, 14 November 2025:
The National Service Scheme (NSS) Units 37 and 117 of Sree Narayana College, Alathur, organized a vibrant Children’s Day celebration at Sariga Public School on 14 November 2025. The programme was conducted as part of the college’s community outreach activities and witnessed active participation from NSS volunteers and school children.

The event began with a warm welcome to the volunteers by the school authorities, followed by an introduction to the significance of Children’s Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, who was known for his affection toward children.

A variety of fun-filled activities, including games, music, and creative sessions, were arranged for the students. NSS volunteers engaged the children through interactive programmes designed to encourage teamwork, creativity, and joy. Colourful balloons, drawings, and kites added charm to the celebrations, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and happiness.

Teachers appreciated the efforts of the NSS units for bringing smiles to the children and for promoting the values of care and social responsibility. The volunteers expressed that the visit was a memorable experience that strengthened their commitment to community service.

The programme concluded with the distribution of sweets, spreading cheer and reinforcing the spirit of Children’s Day.
