Alathur:
The JEEVANI Counselling Centre for Student Wellbeing, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), is organizing a โSuicide Prevention: Campus Based Training Programโ aimed at promoting mental health awareness and student wellbeing.
The training program will be led by Dr. Abdul Gafoor, a renowned Clinical Psychologist and Founder of Listening Community. The session will focus on suicide prevention strategies, mental health awareness, early identification of students at risk, and effective campus-level intervention methods.
The programme is scheduled to be held on Thursday, 22 January 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Gurukripa Hall of the college. The event will be presided over by Dr. Praveena Vijayan, Principal. Dr. S. Diva, IQAC Coordinator, along with JEEVANI Coordinators Divya H. and Maria Joseph, and College Psychologist Fathima Farsana T.P., are coordinating the programme.
Faculty members and students are expected to participate actively in this important initiative, which aims to strengthen mental health support systems within the campus.
