The Department of Chemistry, in association with IQAC, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, organized a workshop on “ChemDraw Essentials” on Monday, 23 February 2026, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Computer Lab.
The session was handled by Dr. Jiji E, Assistant Professor, Research & PG Department of Chemistry, MES College, Valanchery. The workshop focused on introducing participants to the essential features and practical applications of ChemDraw, a widely used software tool for drawing chemical structures and preparing scientific documents.
Dr. Jiji E provided hands-on training to students, explaining key tools, formatting techniques, and methods to prepare publication-quality chemical diagrams. The session was highly interactive and beneficial for undergraduate students aiming to enhance their digital and research skills in chemistry.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Praveena Vijayan, Principal, and coordinated by Dr. S Dhiva, IQAC Coordinator. Dr. Jiju K R, Head of the Department of Chemistry, and Dr. Sumesh R V, Coordinator, extended their support for the successful conduct of the workshop.
The workshop concluded with positive feedback from participants, marking another academic milestone for the Department of Chemistry.
