Sree Narayana College Signs MoU with Green Ahalia

Sree Narayana College, Alathur, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Green Ahalia on 25 February 2026 at 10:00 AM in Gurukripa Hall. The programme was jointly organized by the IQAC and the Department of Environment & Water Management (EWM).

The event commenced with a prayer, followed by a welcome speech by Dr. Kavitha C., Assistant Professor, Department of Environment & Water Management. Dr. Praveena Vijayan, Principal of the college, delivered the Presidential Address, highlighting the importance of institutional collaborations in promoting environmental sustainability and academic enrichment.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Haridasan, Consultant Bio-Resource, Green Ahalia, who spoke on “About Green Ahalia & MoU,” elaborating on the objectives of the partnership and the scope for student involvement in environmental initiatives, research, and sustainable development activities.

The programme also included felicitations by Dr. M A Suraj, Retired Professor, Sree Narayana College, Nattika, and Dr. Soumya C S, Senate Member, University of Calicut, who appreciated the initiative and emphasized the significance of eco-conscious collaborations in higher education institutions.

The formal vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Sreejith Krishnan, Head in Charge of the Department of Environment & Water Management.

The MoU marks a significant step towards strengthening academic–industry collaboration and promoting environmental awareness, research, and sustainable practices among students and faculty.
