The programme is being conducted in collaboration with the Directorate of Census Operations, Kerala, as part of efforts to create awareness among students and educational institutions about the forthcoming Census 2027, one of the most important national data collection initiatives undertaken by the Government of India.

The session aims to familiarize students and faculty members with the significance of the census, its role in national planning and development, and the importance of citizen participation in ensuring accurate demographic data. The programme will also provide insights into the objectives, methodology, and technological advancements being incorporated into Census 2027.

With the theme “Our Census, Our Development,” the awareness programme seeks to promote civic responsibility and encourage young citizens to understand the role of census data in policy formulation, resource allocation, infrastructure development, and welfare planning.

The organizers expect enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and members of the Electoral Literacy Club. The event is expected to serve as an informative platform that strengthens awareness about democratic processes and national development initiatives.

Sree Narayana College Alathur continues to uphold its commitment to fostering socially responsible and informed citizens by actively engaging students in programmes of national importance.
