Alathur, August 4: The Department of Commerce, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, in association with the Career Guidance & Placement Cell and IQAC, is set to organise a Career Guidance Programme titled “Future of Commerce: Careers, Skills & Emerging Opportunities” on 5 August 2026 at the Third Year Commerce Classroom.
The programme aims to provide commerce students with valuable insights into the evolving world of commerce and equip them with the knowledge and skills required to excel in an increasingly dynamic and technology-driven business environment. As the commerce sector continues to witness rapid transformation through digitalisation, financial innovations, entrepreneurship, and globalisation, the session seeks to prepare students for the diverse career opportunities that lie ahead.
The keynote session will be delivered by Mr. Muhammed Yazir Hussain, an accomplished academician and career mentor, who will interact with students on emerging trends in commerce education, professional qualifications, higher education opportunities, industry expectations, entrepreneurship, and the competencies essential for building a successful career in the corporate and business sectors.
The programme will also focus on helping students identify suitable career pathways in areas such as Chartered Accountancy (CA), Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA), Company Secretaryship (CS), Banking and Finance, Investment Analysis, Taxation, Auditing, Digital Marketing, Business Analytics, Logistics, E-commerce, Human Resource Management, and Entrepreneurship. Students will gain practical guidance on skill development, professional certifications, internship opportunities, and effective career planning.
