National Chemistry Day Celebrated at Sree Narayana College, Alathur

Alathur: The Department of Chemistry, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sree Narayana College, Alathur, successfully organized National Chemistry Day on 5 August 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the eminent Indian chemist Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray, widely regarded as the Father of Modern Chemistry in India.

The programme, held in Room No. 45A, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The event aimed to honour the remarkable contributions of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray to science and to inspire students to appreciate the significance of chemistry in everyday life and national development.

As part of the celebration, a series of academic and interactive activities were conducted to enhance students’ scientific curiosity and analytical thinking. Participants actively engaged in the sessions, demonstrating keen interest in the concepts and applications of chemistry.
