Onam Quiz Celebrates Knowledge, Festivity and Human Connection

The Department of Mathematics, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, organized an Onam Quiz on 17 August 2026 (Monday) at 2.00 p.m. at Gurukripa Hall as part of the Onam celebrations of the college.

The quiz provided an engaging platform for students to celebrate the spirit of Onam while participating in an intellectually stimulating activity. The programme brought together the festive atmosphere of Onam and the joy of learning, creating an opportunity for students to interact, participate and showcase their knowledge.

A particularly heartwarming moment of the event was the interaction between the Principal, Dr. Praveena Vijayan, and Sri. Kailas, a second-year B.Com student, who secured the second prize in the quiz. Their shared moment of laughter and happiness beautifully reflected the warm relationship between a teacher and a student.

The photograph capturing this spontaneous interaction became a memorable representation of the event. It highlighted that an educational institution is not merely a place for academic achievements, but also a space where care, inclusion, encouragement and genuine human connections flourish.

The Onam Quiz thus became more than a competition. It reflected the true spirit of the festival—togetherness, happiness and community—while reinforcing the values that make campus life meaningful and memorable.

The programme successfully combined knowledge, celebration and human connection, leaving the participants with a memorable Onam experience.
