Sree Narayana College, Alathur, affiliated to the University of Calicut, is set to organise a workshop on “Basic Statistical Tools in Excel for Research” on 30 September 2026 (Wednesday) at 10:00 a.m. The programme will be conducted at the Computer Lab of the college.
The workshop is being organised by the Research and Development Cell in association with IQAC, with the objective of strengthening participants’ practical skills in using Microsoft Excel for statistical analysis and research-related activities.
Dr. Darsana K. Gopidas, Assistant Professor (on Contract), Department of Computer Applications, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, will serve as the Resource Person. The workshop is expected to introduce participants to fundamental statistical tools and demonstrate their application in Excel for handling, analysing and presenting research data.

The programme will be organised under the guidance of Principal Dr. Praveena Vijayan, IQAC Coordinator Dr. S. Dhiva, and R & D Cell Coordinator Dr. N. S. Rajendran.
The workshop is expected to provide participants with hands-on exposure to Excel-based statistical techniques and contribute to developing data-analysis skills relevant to academic research.
