ASTRA Season-6: Project Ganitham (2026–27)

Date & Time: Friday, August 14, 2026 | 10:00 AM (Inauguration) & 2:00 PM (Volunteer Training)

Venue: Gurukripa Hall, Sree Narayana College, Alathur

Sree Narayana College, Alathur (affiliated with the University of Calicut, reaccredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ Grade, and recognized under NIRF and KIRF) is scheduled to inaugurate ASTRA Season-6: Project Ganitham (2026–27). The project is a community outreach program designed to improve mathematical aptitude and foundational skills among school students in government and aided schools across Kerala. Under this initiative, undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) mathematics students serve as peer mentors and trainers, linking higher education institutions with local primary and secondary schools.

1. Inaugural Session & Felicitation (10:00 AM)

  • Chief Guest: Smt. Sindhu R, Headmistress, PKHSS, Mannapra, will deliver the key inaugural address.
  • Felicitation Ceremony: Recognition of outstanding student mentors from the previous academic year (2025–26).

2. One-Day Training for Volunteers (2:00 PM)

  • Resource Person / Trainer: Ms. Varsha S, District Coordinator of INSIGHT for Innovation (Palakkad Chapter).
  • Session Focus: Pedagogy of basic mathematics learning, student engagement techniques, and structured volunteer orientation for the upcoming 2026–27 academic cycle.
