





Alathur, July 8: The Department of Microbiology, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, organized a Poster Presentation on “Awareness on Monsoon Diseases” on 8 July 2026 as part of its efforts to promote health awareness and community education.
The programme provided students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and scientific knowledge through informative posters highlighting various monsoon-related diseases, their symptoms, preventive measures, and the importance of maintaining proper hygiene during the rainy season.
The poster presentations covered topics such as dengue fever, malaria, leptospirosis, viral fever, typhoid, and water-borne diseases, emphasizing the need for early detection and preventive healthcare practices. The initiative aimed to educate students and the wider community about the health challenges commonly associated with the monsoon season.
Faculty members appreciated the active participation and enthusiastic efforts of the students in preparing awareness materials that effectively communicated important public health messages. The programme successfully created awareness about monsoon diseases and reinforced the significance of preventive measures in safeguarding community health.
