Alathur, September 18, 2026: The Department of Economics, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, organised a Career Guidance Programme on 18 September 2026 at 1.30 p.m. The programme was conducted with the support of the IQAC, Skill Centre, and Career Guidance & Placement Cell of the college.
ICA Edu Skills Pvt. Ltd., Palakkad, served as the Resource Partner for the programme. The session focused on career opportunities and skill-oriented courses in areas including accounts, banking, finance and taxation.
The programme highlighted various career avenues available to students, including Chief Accountant, Data Analyst, Financial Analyst, Tax Consultant, and Banking & Finance Executive. The session also introduced students to programmes such as a Job-Guarantee Course in Accounts, Finance & Taxation, Diploma in Banking & Finance, Advanced Excel & Data Analytics, and GST & Taxation Certification.
The career guidance initiative provided students with information about skill development and possible career pathways in commerce- and finance-related fields. It also emphasised the relevance of additional professional and technical skills for improving students’ career preparedness.
The programme formed part of the department’s efforts to support students in making informed decisions about career development and acquiring industry-oriented skills.
