Football Fever Grips Esperanza College with FIFA Fest 2026

Alathur, June 29: The College Union and the Department of Physical Education of Esperanza College jointly organized “FIFA Fest 2026”, a vibrant celebration of football, on the college campus today. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, turning the campus into a festive arena of football passion.

The event featured a variety of activities, including an exciting football match, a penalty shootout challenge, and a colourful football fan show with team jersey parades, fan chants, and celebrations. Students enthusiastically represented their favourite football nations and clubs, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the FIFA World Cup.

The organisers stated that the programme aimed to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and the spirit of unity through the universal language of football. Winners of the various competitions were honoured during the closing ceremony.

Faculty members of the Department of Physical Education and the College Union office bearers appreciated the active participation of students and expressed hope that such events would further strengthen the sporting culture on campus.
