Gender Film Festival

The PG Department of English at SN College Alathur, in collaboration with the Literary Club, Film Club, and Gender Forum, successfully hosted the Gender Film Festival on 13th March 2025 at Guru Kripa Hall. This event aimed to foster discussions on gender representation in cinema and create awareness about diverse gender identities and experiences through film.

The festival featured a carefully curated selection of short films that explored themes of gender identity, societal norms, and personal struggles. The screenings were followed by insightful discussions, allowing participants to engage critically with the narratives and their impact. Faculty members and students actively participated, sharing their perspectives on gender inclusivity in media.
