Independence Day Quiz Competition to Be Held at Sree Narayana College, Alathur

Sree Narayana College, Alathur, is set to organize an Independence Day Quiz Competition on 14 August 2026 (Friday) at 10.30 a.m. at the Economics Classroom.

The programme is being organized by the Department of History and Department of Economics, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), as part of the college’s Independence Day celebrations. The quiz is open to all students of the college.

The competition is intended to promote students’ awareness of India’s history, freedom struggle, national movement, constitutional values and the country’s achievements. It will also provide students with an engaging platform to enhance their general knowledge, critical thinking and competitive spirit.

The event forms part of the institution’s broader efforts to commemorate national occasions through meaningful academic and co-curricular activities. The college’s previous institutional reports note that Independence Day celebrations and quiz competitions are among its regular student-centred activities.

The Independence Day Quiz Competition is expected to witness enthusiastic participation from students across departments. The organizers have invited students to participate actively and make the programme a memorable part of the college’s Independence Day celebrations.

The college has also announced other Independence Day-related activities this year. An interdepartmental speech competition on the theme “Freedom in the 21st Century” is scheduled for 13 August 2026, reflecting the institution’s focus on connecting the ideals of independence with contemporary democratic values.
