



LitQuest: English Department to Organize Reading and Social Media Talk
Alathur: The PG Department of English of Sree Narayana College, Alathur, in association with the Literary Club, Quiz Club, and IQAC, will organize “LitQuest”, a programme aimed at promoting reading habits and literary creativity among students, on 25 June 2026 at 10.00 a.m. in Room No. 15.
The highlight of the programme will be a talk on “Reading and Social Media” by Aswani B.G., UGC Librarian, who will discuss the importance of reading culture in the digital age and the impact of social media on reading habits among students.
As part of the event, competitions such as Reading Competition and Book Cover Making Competition will also be conducted to encourage students’ literary and creative talents.
The programme is being organized under the leadership of Principal Dr. Praveena Vijayan. Dr. Dhiva S, IQAC Coordinator, is extending support for the event. The Department of English, headed by Remya Rajan E, is coordinating the programme with faculty coordinators Dr. Poornima P.L. and Dr. Sreedhanya R.
The organizers stated that the programme aims to foster a reading culture and inspire students to engage critically with literature and contemporary media.

The PG Department of English, Sree Narayana College, in association with the Literary Club, Quiz Club, and IQAC, organized LitQuest 2026 on 25 June 2026. The programme featured a Talk on “Reading and Social Media” delivered by Aswani B.G., highlighting the evolving relationship between reading habits and digital media in the contemporary world.
As part of the event, a Reading Competition and a Book Cover making competition were conducted to encourage students’ reading culture, creativity, and artistic expression. The programme provided a platform for participants to engage with literature in innovative ways while reflecting on the significance of reading in the digital age.
The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Praveena Vijayan Principal.The programme was coordinated by Dr. Poornima P. L. and Dr. Sreedhanya R., under the leadership of Remya Rajan E.The event successfully brought together students in a celebration of reading day.
