



Alathur, June 24: As part of its continued efforts to promote a drug-free campus and create social awareness among students, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, will organize an anti-drug awareness programme titled “Stand Strong: Say No” on June 24 at 10.00 a.m. at Gurukripa Hall.
The programme will be conducted by the Taluk Legal Services Committee, Alathur, which will provide students with valuable insights into the legal, social, and health consequences of substance abuse. The session aims to encourage young people to resist drug abuse and adopt healthy and responsible lifestyles.
The programme is jointly organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) Units 37 and 117, the Anti-Narcotic Cell, and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college. Faculty members, NSS volunteers, and students from various departments are expected to participate.
The organizers stated that the programme is intended to strengthen awareness regarding the growing menace of drug abuse and to empower students to become ambassadors of a drug-free society. Through interactive sessions and awareness activities, participants will be encouraged to take a firm stand against narcotic substances.
The anti-drug campaign carries the powerful message “Stand Strong: Say No,” emphasizing the importance of making informed choices and building a healthy future. The college management and organizing committee have invited the entire student community to actively participate in the programme and support the mission of creating a safe and responsible campus environment.
