Alathur, September 11, 2026: The Department of Zoology, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, organised a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) Meeting and Orientation Programme on 11 September 2026 at 1.30 p.m. at the Zoology Laboratory.
The programme brought together parents, guardians and faculty members, providing an opportunity for meaningful interaction between the department and the parents of students. The meeting focused on strengthening communication between parents and teachers and fostering greater parental involvement in the academic journey of students.
The orientation programme also provided parents and guardians with an opportunity to become familiar with the academic environment and activities of the Department of Zoology. The interaction facilitated a better understanding of the role of parents and teachers in supporting the academic and overall development of students.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Praveena Vijayan, Principal, with G. Vishnunath serving as the Convenor. Dr. Araty Sasikumar, Head of the Department of Zoology, coordinated the departmental activities.
The PTA meeting served as a valuable platform for exchanging views and strengthening the partnership between the institution and parents. The active participation of parents and guardians contributed to the success of the programme.
