The PG Department of Commerce and IQAC of Sree Narayana College, Alathur, is organising a Book Donation Programme on 9 October 2026 at the General Library of Sree Narayana College, Alathur.
As part of the initiative, the PG Department of Commerce will donate books to the college’s General Library. The programme aims to strengthen the library’s collection and promote a culture of reading, knowledge-sharing and academic learning among students.
The initiative carries the message “Share Books • Spread Knowledge”, highlighting the important role of books in developing students’ intellectual abilities and broadening their understanding of different subjects. By contributing books to the institutional library, the department seeks to make useful academic resources accessible to a larger number of students.
The programme also reflects the college’s commitment to supporting academic enrichment and knowledge-based learning. The addition of new books to the General Library is expected to benefit students and faculty members by providing access to additional reference and learning materials.
The programme is being organised under the leadership of Dr. Praveena Vijayan, Principal, Dr. S. Dhiva, IQAC Co-ordinator, and Archana K M, Head of the PG Department of Commerce.
The initiative reinforces the belief that a small contribution can create a lasting impact, encouraging members of the academic community to contribute towards the development of shared educational resources.
The Book Donation Programme is expected to serve as a meaningful academic initiative and further strengthen the library as a centre for learning, research and knowledge dissemination.
