Sree Narayana College, Alathur to Host JAM Coaching Under ASTRA Season-6

ALATHUR — The Department of Mathematics at Sree Narayana College, Alathur, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), will conduct the inaugural session for its JAM Coaching (2026–27) program under ASTRA Season-6. The event is scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Gurukripa Hall.

The Initiative aims to guide undergraduate mathematics students preparing for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM), facilitating opportunities for higher education in prestigious postgraduate programs across national institutes.

Students Excel in JAM Coaching Intro Quiz

The Department of Mathematics, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, organized a JAM Coaching Intro Quiz on August 14, 2026, providing students with an opportunity to assess their mathematical aptitude and strengthen their preparation for the Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM).

The quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of the undergraduate and postgraduate Mathematics programmes. The competition showcased the students’ academic abilities, quick thinking and enthusiasm for higher-level mathematical learning.

Arun P, a third-year UG Mathematics student, emerged as the First Prize winner with an impressive score of 12 points.

The Second Prize was jointly secured by Sandra, a first-year PG Mathematics student, and Abisha J, a first-year UG Mathematics student, with both scoring 9.5 points.

The Consolation Prizes were awarded to Arundhati S, a second-year UG Mathematics student, who scored 8.5 points, and Fathima S, a second-year PG Mathematics student, who scored 7.5 points.

The achievement of the students was warmly appreciated by the Department of Mathematics. The quiz served as an effective introductory activity for the JAM coaching programme, encouraging students to engage in competitive learning and develop greater confidence in their mathematical abilities.

The Department congratulated all the winners and participants and expressed its hope that such academic initiatives would inspire students to pursue excellence in higher studies and competitive examinations.
