Sree Narayana College Alathur to Launch Massive Green Initiative on World Environment Day

ALATHUR: In a major push toward environmental conservation and climate action, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, has announced a massive sapling distribution and planting drive to mark World Environment Day on June 5, 2026.

The college aims to distribute and plant 3,000 saplings as part of its mega green campaign, running under the inspiring slogan: “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”

Combined Institutional Effort

The mega event is being organized by the college’s Department of Environment and Water Management. To ensure widespread reach and impactful community participation, the department is executing the initiative in association with:

  • Haritha Keralam Mission
  • Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
  • NSS Units 37/117

Sree Narayana College, Alathur—which is affiliated with the University of Calicut and holds a prestigious NAAC ‘A’ Grade reaccreditation—has a long-standing history of fostering social responsibility.
