Alathur, September 26, 2026: The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Sree Narayana College, Alathur, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Fortune IAS Academy, is set to organise a Civil Service Orientation Programme for first- and second-year undergraduate students.
The programme is scheduled to be held on 28 September 2026 at 1.30 p.m. at the Gurukripa Hall of Sree Narayana College, Alathur. The orientation programme is intended to introduce students to the opportunities and pathways associated with civil service examinations and to encourage them to consider careers in public administration and related services.
Saran R will serve as the resource person for the programme. The session is expected to provide students with guidance on civil service preparation, the nature of competitive examinations, career opportunities and the importance of beginning systematic preparation at the undergraduate level.
A scholarship test will also be conducted following the orientation session. The test is expected to provide an additional opportunity for interested students to pursue further guidance and preparation for competitive examinations.
The programme is being coordinated by the Career Guidance and Placement Cell, with the participation of the IQAC and the organising committee. Sucharitha R S, Career Guidance and Placement Cell Coordinator, Dr. Praveena Vijayan, Principal, and Dr. S. Dhiva, IQAC Coordinator, are associated with the organisation of the programme. Rosini K and Vaishnavi S are also listed as members of the organising committee.
The initiative reflects the college’s efforts to provide career awareness, competitive-examination guidance and professional orientation to undergraduate students. The programme is expected to encourage students to explore civil services as a career option and to understand the importance of early and structured preparation.
