The Department of Botany, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Sree Narayana College, Alathur, is set to organize a special programme in observance of World Nature Conservation Day on 28 July 2026 at 10:30 a.m. in the Botany Lab.
The programme, themed “Preserving Nature for the Future,” aims to create awareness about the importance of conserving biodiversity, protecting natural resources, and promoting sustainable environmental practices among students and the academic community.
The keynote session will be delivered by Dr. Pramod Kumar N., Associate Professor, Department of Botany, NSS College, Ottapalam, who will share valuable insights on the need for collective action in safeguarding nature for future generations.
The programme is being organized under the leadership of Dr. Praveena Vijayan, Principal, with the support of Dr. R. Bindu, Head of the Department of Botany, and Dr. S. Dhiva, IQAC Coordinator. The organizing committee comprises Lt. Dr. Shereena J., Prof. (Dr.) Binmol M., Dr. Hansiya V. S., and Dr. Soumya M.
