World Ozone Day Poster Competition Organised at Sree Narayana College, Alathur

Alathur, September 16, 2026: The Department of Zoology, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, in association with the Bhoomithra Sena and Green Audit Club, organised a World Ozone Day Poster Competition on 16 September 2026.

The competition was organised with the theme “Small Actions… Big Protection!”, highlighting the importance of individual and collective efforts towards the protection of the ozone layer. The initiative aimed to encourage students to express their ideas and environmental concerns through creative and informative presentations.

The competition included Poster Making, Quiz, and Essay/Elocution categories. Students were encouraged to use creative approaches to communicate messages related to ozone-layer protection and environmental conservation. The organisers also permitted the use of AI tools as part of the competition.

The programme provided students with a platform to combine creativity with environmental awareness and to reflect on the significance of protecting the ozone layer. The message “Save Ozone Layer, Save Life” was highlighted as an important part of the campaign.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Praveena Vijayan, Principal, with Dr. Araty Sasikumar serving as the Coordinator and Kalyani Shaji as Co-coordinator. Dr. S. Dhiva, IQAC Coordinator, extended institutional support for the programme.

The competition formed part of the college’s activities aimed at promoting environmental consciousness and encouraging students to actively engage with issues related to planetary health and sustainability.

Sree Narayana College, Alathur Holds Poster Competition for World Ozone Day 2026

ALATHUR — To observe World Ozone Day 2026, the Department of Zoology at Sree Narayana College, Alathur, in collaboration with the Bhoomithra Sena and the Green Audit Club, organized a poster competition on Wednesday, 16th September 2026.

Centered on the theme “Protecting the Ozone • Protecting Life” and emphasizing commitment to environmental awareness and a sustainable future, the competition saw creative entries from students across various departments.
