ARTOFLORISTICA: BOTANY DEPARTMENT HOSTS SKILL ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMME
Alathur, 21 August 2025 —
The Department of Botany, Sree Narayana College, Alathur, organizing a unique Skill Enhancement Programme titled “Artofloristica” on 21 August 2025 at the college Botany Lab.

The hands-on training programme focused on nurturing creativity and practical skills in floristics. The highlights included Kokedama, Terrarium making, Bottle Art, Palm Leaf Art and Floral Arrangements, Resin Art, Mini Landscape Modelling, and Botanical Illustration. Enthusiastic Students can participate and showcase their innovative designs under expert guidance.

The event will be inaugurated under the leadership of Principal Smt. Praveena Vijayan. The programme will be coordinated by Dr. Soumya M, with support from HoD Dr. R. Bindu, IQAC Coordinator Dr. S. Dhiva, and Senate Member Dr. Soumya C. S. The organising committee consisted of Dr. Shereena J, Dr. Binumol M, and Dr. Hansiya V. S.

Participants will be refreshed by the workshop by providing them with valuable exposure to artistic expressions through plants and materials, while also promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices.
