Anti-Ragging Awareness Class

An Anti-Ragging Awareness Class was conducted on 4/07/25 at college Auditorium with the objective of sensitizing students about the harmful effects of ragging and to promote a safe and inclusive campus environment. The session was organized by IQAC in association with Anti Ragging committee, Antiragging cell and Squad in accordance with UGC and institutional guidelines. The main objective of the class was to:

  • Educate students about what constitutes ragging.
  • Inform them about the laws and consequences associated with ragging.
  • Encourage students to foster healthy peer relationships.
  • Promote awareness of anti-ragging support mechanisms and helplines.

The session was conducted by Sri. T.N. Unnikrishnan, SHO, Police station, Alathur who is an expert in student welfare and legal awareness. The speaker shared valuable insights about the psychological, emotional, and legal consequences of ragging. The session was highly informative and well-received by the students. The Anti-Ragging Awareness Class played a crucial role in creating a supportive and respectful campus culture. Such initiatives are essential to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of students and to uphold the dignity and discipline of academic institutions.
