Drama Fest Held by III FE Students on October 23, 2024
The III FE students organized an impressive Drama Fest on October 23, 2024, showcasing a diverse collection of classical and modern plays. The event featured four outstanding performances: A Doll’s House, The Merchant of Venice, Shakuntalam, and Pygmalion, each demonstrating the students’ creativity, talent, and dedication.
The festival kicked off with A Doll’s House, a powerful modern play by Henrik Ibsen. The cast delivered a compelling performance, bringing to life the emotional complexities of Nora and Torvald’s relationship, and highlighting themes of identity and personal freedom.
Next, The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare took the stage, captivating the audience with its intricate plot and strong characters. The performance was notable for its dramatic tension, particularly in the courtroom scene, which was delivered with great precision and flair.
Shakuntalam, an ancient Indian play by Kalidasa, was another highlight. The students brought the mythological tale of Shakuntala and King Dushyanta to life with beautiful costumes, eloquent dialogue, and a touch of magic, making it a memorable experience for the audience.
Finally, the evening concluded with Pygmalion, a witty and thought-provoking play by George Bernard Shaw.
