As part of the Multidisciplinary Seminar Series – 2026, titled “Jijnaasa – The Quest for Knowledge,” an invited talk on “The Importance of Hindi Language, Literature, Culture and Art in Kerala” was successfully conducted at M.P.M.M.S.N Trusts College, Shoranur, recently.

The invited talk was delivered by Dr. Soumya C. S., Associate Professor, Department of Hindi, Sree Narayana College, Alathur. In her enlightening address, Dr. Soumya emphasized the historical, cultural, and literary significance of the Hindi language in Kerala and its role in fostering national integration and cultural harmony.

She also highlighted the growing relevance of Hindi literature and art forms in contemporary academic and cultural discourse. Her talk was well received by faculty members, students, and research scholars, who actively participated in the discussion that followed.

Dr. Soumya C. S. is a distinguished academician, serving as Member of the Senate, University of Calicut, Member of the Board of Studies in Hindi, and Member of the Steering Committee for FYUGP, University of Calicut.
