



Alathur: Sree Narayana College Alathur will host an ISRO Exhibition on 20 February 2026, from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, at the College Auditorium. The exhibition is presented by the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), under the Department of Space, Government of India.
The programme is jointly organised by the Department of Physics in association with IQAC, NSS Units 37/117, PTA, and the Science Club. The exhibition aims to promote scientific temper among students and the general public by showcasing India’s space missions, satellite technology, and achievements of ISRO.
Dr. Praveena Vijayan, Principal, along with Dr. Dhiva S (IQAC Coordinator), Dr. Soumya C S (Senate Member, University of Calicut), Dr. Sreedhanya R (NSS Programme Officer), Dr. Sreejith Krishnan (HoD Physics & Coordinator), and Dr. Gokul G (Programme Convenor), are part of the organising committee.
The exhibition is expected to attract students, teachers, and science enthusiasts, offering a unique opportunity to explore India’s advancements in space science.

ISRO Exhibition and Departmental Showcases Held at Sree Narayana College, Alathur
Sree Narayana College, Alathur, witnessed an inspiring confluence of science, innovation and creativity with the successful conduct of the ISRO Exhibition on 20 February 2026. The event transformed the campus into a vibrant hub of knowledge, attracting enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members and visitors.
The ISRO Exhibition highlighted India’s remarkable achievements in space research, satellite technology and scientific advancements. Informative displays and models provided students with deeper insights into space missions and the future of Indian space exploration, sparking curiosity and scientific temper among the young minds.
Alongside the ISRO exhibition, various departments of the college organized engaging parallel events, making the day a grand academic celebration.
The Department of Chemistry, in association with IQAC, organized “Mystical Minds – A Journey through Chemical Wonders” exhibition, presenting fascinating chemical experiments and models that beautifully demonstrated the wonders of science.
The Department of Zoology conducted multiple programmes including “Lens on the Wild” – a wildlife photography exhibition in association with NHSP, and “Fauna Fiesta” celebrating animal diversity. The exhibitions showcased stunning visuals of wildlife and highlighted the importance of biodiversity conservation.
The Department of Microbiology organized “MicroVerse”, featuring plate art, microbial models, awareness sessions on blood grouping, and presentations on the effects and benefits of microbes, drawing great student engagement.
The Department of Physical Education & Zoology jointly arranged “Vital Corner”, offering BMI testing and blood group testing to promote health awareness among students.
Adding to the spirit of social awareness, the Kerala Fire & Rescue Service, Alathur Fire Station conducted “Safety Spectrum – Flames to Safety: See it, Learn it, Live it”, a practical demonstration session on fire safety and emergency response measures.
The Honey Bee Club, Nature Club and Science Club also organized a Sale and Display of Honey and its Value Added Products, promoting eco-friendly entrepreneurship and awareness about apiculture.
The Department of Mathematics organized a captivating Mathematics Exhibition featuring a Mathematical Puzzle Corner, which attracted students to test their logical thinking and problem-solving skills. The department also presented Working Models and Concept Displays, effectively demonstrating various mathematical principles in a simple and visually engaging manner. The “Amazing Math Facts” Section, which showcased interesting, surprising, and lesser-known facts about mathematics, inspiring curiosity and appreciation for the subject.
The exhibition day reflected the institution’s commitment to holistic education by blending scientific knowledge, environmental awareness, health consciousness and social responsibility. The coordinated efforts of various departments made the event a grand success, leaving students motivated and inspired.
The programme stood as a testimony to the vibrant academic culture of Sree Narayana College, Alathur, and its dedication to nurturing innovation and excellence among students.
