



The Department of Environment and Water Management of Sree Narayana College, Alathur, in association with the Association of Environment and Geology Students (AEGES) and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), is organizing its Association Day Seminar on the topic “Environmental Science as a Career: Opportunities, Challenges and Impact.”
The seminar will be held on 16 January 2026 at 10.00 a.m. in the College Auditorium. Dr. Sreedharan K, Member of the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management (CEM), will deliver the keynote address. The session is expected to provide valuable insights into emerging career opportunities in environmental science, along with the challenges and real-world impact of the discipline.
The programme is being coordinated by Dr. Kavitha C, with Dr. Sreejith Krishnan, Head of the Department of Environment and Water Management, extending departmental support. The event is organized under the guidance of Dr. Dhiva S, IQAC Coordinator, and Dr. Praveena Vijayan, Principal of the college.
Faculty members and students are expected to actively participate in the seminar, which aims to inspire young learners to explore careers dedicated to environmental sustainability and ecosystem management.
