World AIDS Day Celebrated by the Department of Zoology

The Department of Zoology of Sree Narayana College, Alathur, observed World AIDS Day on 1 December 2025 with an awareness programme aimed at educating students and the public on the importance of HIV prevention and the rights of individuals living with HIV. As part of the observance, the students created awareness through interactive sessions, informative displays, and distribution of pamphlets.

The programme highlighted this year’s theme—“Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right!”—emphasizing the significance of accessible healthcare, equality, and social support. Faculty members and students actively participated, reinforcing the message of compassion, awareness, and responsibility towards building an HIV-free society.

The event successfully conveyed the importance of understanding HIV/AIDS, reducing stigma, and promoting healthy practices, marking a meaningful observance of World AIDS Day by the Zoology Department.
