Department of Malayalam

The Department of Malayalam was established ever since the inception of the college in 1970. During the initial two years, it was offered as second language for Pre-degree courses. From 1972 onwards, Malayalam was offered as second language for the undergraduate courses namely, BA/BSc, B.Com, Microbiology and Environmental sciences. Classes are engaged for the first and second year students. The students are introduced to various literary works in Malayalam covering different periods. They are also introduced to the basic of translation and its practice.
